Late 19th century cruiser USS Olympia was Admiral Dewey's flagship at the battle of Manila. It's the third oldest US warship still in existance. Today, Olympia is a museum at the Independence Seaport Museum, at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia. She is the sole floating survivor of the US Navy's Spanish-American War fleet.
Moored next to the ship is USS Becuna (SS-319), a WWII-era submarineon permanent display at the Independence Seaport Museum, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 21 June 1976, where she has been designated a National Historic Landmark.
The history of the USS Conyngham (DDG-17) and the USS Olympia / SS Becuna intersect in Philadelphia.
